1) Gaël Bigirimana (Newcastle United)

 Cost:  £2m-3m

Signed from Coventry City two years ago, the myth goes that the boy from Burundi won his first professional contract after ignoring his mother’s instructions to go to the supermarket and instead persuaded Coventry to take him on trial.   He arrived at Newcastle United as one for the future but his development has been held back by injuries and despite impressing in a handful of appearances in the black and white stripes, Bigi didn’t make into the squad for the Magpie’s pre-season trip to New Zealand, suggesting that his time on Tyneside might be coming to an end.

But at only 20, the lad has a bright future ahead of him and those who have watched him know he has something special.  All the signs suggest he isn’t in Alan Pardew’s plans meaning that he is up for grabs and for a cheap price – the promotion chasing sides, could use a centre midfielder with his creativity and flare.
