Ronaldo Vieira was a huge part of the Leeds United squad over the last couple of years. Granted he underperformed last season but many still loved him, passionate and hungry, proud to play for Leeds United and someone who understands the significance of that. He has today posted his farewell message on social media.
Vieira last night completed his £7.7 million move to Sampdoria and tonight he’s confirmed what we already knew, this wasn’t his choice, Leeds United were the ones who decided this move. Once Vieira was told he could go you can’t really blame him for taking his chance. The Serie A is arguably the most entertaining league in Europe currently, trips to Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Lazio, AC and Inter Milan, a crazy few years waits for Vieira.
See you soon🙌🏾💙💛 pic.twitter.com/X1W9wawetV

The 20-year-old wasn’t seen as a youngster anymore, he played almost the full season under Gary Monk and help the club to the play-offs before we fell at the final hurdle and the huge picture of him draped down one side of the east stand will tell you how highly thought of he was at the club, before the last week that is. The club have decided to sell him, obviously Marcelo Bielsa didn’t see him in the plans but to sell someone with so much potential is a bold move.
Even fans who aren’t too fussed about the move will wish the player luck, he hasn’t forced a move and once he was told he can go he did it quickly and quietly. Some move for the player, and a huge thank you for the last two years.
