Adarabioyo, West Brom set to sign Manchester City defender on loan

West Brom set to sign Manchester City defender on loan

West Bromwich Albion are set to sign Tosin Adarabioyo on a season-long loan according to a report from Daily Mail journalist Jack Gaughan.

The 20-year-old defender, who has been capped once by the England U19s, is coming through the Manchester City academy and is being hailed as one of their top prospects. Even with all the money they have thrown about signing the best players in the world, Adarabioyo has managed to get a few appearances in the cups for City which included a match against Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League.

But Adarabioyo isn’t likely to break into the first team this season and needs more than just appearing in the cups if he wants to be a Manchester City first-teamer in the future. He has been linked with loan moves away before but they never seemed to materialise but he could soon get his first stint away from the Etihad Stadium with West Brom looking to snap him up in the next few days.

The Baggies are reshaping their squad under new head coach Darren Moore and while this would be a temporary deal lasting the season, he thinks that adding a powerful defender like Adarabioyo to the squad will only help them in their attempts to get promoted. While West Brom are willing to spend money this summer in an attempt to return to the Premier League at the first attempt, this sort of move can really ease the budget while also bringing in a top quality player.
