Swansea City want to sign more players this summer

Swansea City head coach Graham Potter has told the club website that he is looking to sign more players this summer.

With Swansea being relegated from the Premier League last season, an upheavel in the playing squad was expected. But while plenty players have departed from the Liberty Stadium, only three senior players have come in so far. So far, they have signed Joel Asoro from Sunderland, Barrie McKay from Nottingham Forest and Bersant Celina from Manchester City.

If any Swansea fans are underwhelmed with the dealings so far then these words from Potter may ease them. He has said he is not done in the transfer window yet and is looking to bring some more players in before the end of the transfer window. But if he wants to sign anyone on a permanent deal he is going to have to be quick, the new transfer deadline for that is on August 9th.

Potter said: “Twelve players have left the club this summer, which in itself has been a transition,”

“We hope we can bring more players to the group but, as I’ve always said, they have to be the right type of player and person to fit into what we want to do.”

“We also have the loan market up until August 31, so there is time.”
