Leeds United fans have been shocked by the news that Ronaldo Vieira has left and are left wondering if the money will be re-invested in the team in the coming week. The club have been on the hunt for another midfielder, and that was before the sale of Ronaldo Vieira, a player who wasn’t in the plans of Marcelo Bielsa.
The fact that Woods seems to be available at the right price may well mean Leeds are interested (according to this report) and now have the money to spend. Woods is arguably the best passer of the ball in the Championship, his range and ability to play out of tight areas is becoming very well-known and it’s someone who would certainly suit Marcelo Bielsa’s style of play.
It remains to be seen whether Leeds are interested or a bid is to come but it’s one Leeds fans have been discussing at length on social media today. At £6 million Woods is seen as value for money and would add some real quality in the heart of the Leeds United midfield. Key player Adam Forshaw has recently picked up an injury and it isn’t yet know known long he’ll be out for.
