In the last few minutes, Leeds United have announced the signing of Middlesbrough star Patrick Bamford. The fee for the 2014/15 Championship player of the year is thought to be around £7m.

This transfer is one baffling all Middlesbrough fans. He’s arguably their best striker and they’re letting him go for just a fraction of his value. Although Leeds United fans won’t be complaining one bit. They’ve been searching for a striker for an absolute age but they’ve finally found someone who is top class in the Championship.
During two spells at Middlesbrough, Bamford has made 97 appearances and scored a very respectable 33 goals. He also got assists and has only been booked five times, while never being sent off. He even won the Championship player of the season in the 2014/15 campaign.
He also enjoyed a very successful spell at MK Dons. He played on 44 occasions for them, scored an impressive 21 goals and picked up six assists.
While with Derby County, in the Championship, he scored eight goals in 23 appearances and earned four assists. Bamford has never been sent off in his entire 207 match professional career so far.
