Nottingham Forest sell out for season opener at Bristol City

Nottingham Forest have sold their entire ticket allocation for this Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship season opener at Bristol City.

There is a general sense that there is a big season ahead for The Reds and tickets have quickly been snapped up as Forest begin their 2018/2019 campaign at Ashton Gate.

Official Nottingham Forest club sources have confirmed that the club’s 2,696 ticket allocation for the fixture at Bristol City has now been sold with many fans also taking advantage of official club partner BetBright’s offer of free coach travel down to the south west.

Forest’s recent record at Ashton Gate is a dismal one with The Reds having lost on all of their last four visits to the venue. Their last victory at the home of The Robins came in April 2011 when a brace from Kris Boyd and a Luke Chambers strike gave The Reds a 3-2 victory.

Last season saw Forest lose 2-1 at Ashton Gate with Kieran Dowell on the scoresheet for The Reds while the reverse fixture at The City Ground in April ended in a stalemate.

Manager Aitor Karanka is set to embark on his first full season with Forest and the Spaniard will be looking to achieve a second Sky Bet Championship promotion after guiding former club Middlesbrough to the English Premier League in 2015/2016.
