Have Bolton Wanderers been priced out for Charlie Wyke?

Bradford City are believed to be demanding £750k for striker Charlie Wyke, but has this priced Bolton Wanderers out?

According to Journalist Alan Nixon, a deal between Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers is unlikely. He tweeted: “It’s 750k. Not sure Bolton value him at that. Plus he has an injury.

If Phil Parkinson could pull the signing of Charlie Wyke off, it would certainly be a coup for Bolton but it won’t be easy bringing the target man to the club. Wyke scored 15 goals in 40 appearances last campaign.

About Bradford City’s Charlie Wyke –

Wyke has quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite at Bradford after the Bantams signed him from League Two side Carlisle United on transfer deadline day in January 2017. He is a Middlesbrough academy graduate, but he never made a first team appearance and after loan stints at Kettering, Hartlepool United and AFC Wimbledon, he signed for Carlisle United on a free transfer in January 2015.

If Charlie Wyke does depart Bradford City maybe this will open the door for the club to bring in Eoin Doyle. According to reports, Bradford City have expressed interest in the striker.

Eoin Doyle is a proven goalscorer in League One, as he showed last season with Oldham Athletic where he scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions. To add to this, the Irishman scored 25 goals in 33 appearances for Chesterfield during the 2014/15 season. With him not being needed at Preston North End this may lead Bradford City to swoop in for a deal.
