Take it, or ignore it, at face value, but there are reports coming (below) through that Leeds United have agreed a deal with Middlesbrough over the transfer of Patrick Bamford.

News that the Whites were in for Bamford began to leak through late yesterday, some Leeds United fans seeing the interest in Bamford as being a countermeasure against possible second disappointment in the Matej Vydra hunt.
The 24-year-old Middlesbrough centre-forward, who Boro bought for £6.2 million in January last year, is just what Leeds United need. He has the ability to score goals, something that Leeds’ attack-rich supporting three will be hungry to provide.
Bamford has made a name for himself on a number of loan deals away from former club Chelsea, a club that he failed to make a breakthrough appearance for.
However, in 77 games for Middlesbrough, Bamford has scored 28 Championship goals, including a hat-trick against Leeds United last season in a game where the Whites folded and waved the white flag. This return underlines his potential and prowess at this level – two characteristics that underline the threat he possesses at Sky Championship level.
His most successful season for the Teessiders was the 2014/15 season – where he scored 17 goals and provided five assists in 38 games. Last season he was no slouch either with 11 goals and an assist in 39 games.
For £6.75 million, if that price proves to be the dealmaker, getting Patrick Bamford can easily be considered a steal for Leeds United. A steal that could easily see the Whites steer themselves towards the play-off place that owner Andrea Radrizzani expects.
