West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes on a season-long loan, as reported by The72 earlier today.
The Baggies’ boss, Darren Moore, has strengthened his sides’ attacking options by landing the highly-rated 20-year-old.
Barnes, who has represented England at both Under-18 and Under-20 level so far in his career, joined Leicester City’s academy at the age of 9 and rose through the youth ranks at the King Power Stadium.
He made his debut for the Foxes in December 2016 in a Champions League game against FC Porto. He has since played 7 more games for them but has gained further first-team experiences out on loan.
Barnes first joined MK Dons in January 2017 and spent the remainder of the 2016/17 season with them. He managed 6 goals for them in 21 games and this earned him a loan move to Barnsley in the Championship for last season.
He spent the first half of the last campaign with the Tykes and bagged 5 goals for them in 16 matches. This experience of playing in the second tier before will benefit him at West Brom now.
Here is how the Baggies’ fans have reacted on Twitter to landing Harvey Barnes on loan from Leicester-
