Hibernian lining up move for Bolton Wanderers striker

Hibernian are lining up a move for Bolton Wanderers striker Adam le Fondre, according to the Edinburgh News.

The Scottish Premier League side, who are managed by ex-Bolton boss Neil Lennon, are keen on the experienced striker to boost their attacking options.

Adam le Fondre is a familiar name to Football League fans but could make the move out of England for the first time in his career if Hibs get their man.

The 31-year-old forward started his career at Stockport County and burst onto the scene as a youngster for the Hatters in League Two. Le Fondre then earned himself a move to Rochdale in 2007 and he spent three years with them in the fourth tier and scored 42 goals.

Rotherham United then swooped to sign him in 2010 and he was prolific for the Millers. Le Fondre managed 58 goals in 105 games for them which resulted in Reading signing him in 2011. He spent three years with the Royals, including a season in the Premier League, before going onto have spells at Cardiff City, Wolves, Wigan Athletic and now Bolton Wanderers.

Le Fondre joined the Trotters on a permanent basis last summer after helping them gain promotion from League One in the 2016/17 season on loan from Cardiff. He then chipped in with goals in the last campaign to help keep them in the Championship.

He is a key player for Bolton and is a useful player to have in their side. Therefore, it would take a big effort from Hibs to lure him to Scotland.
