Vanarama National League North side York City have drawn 1-1 with Championship side Leeds United on in a pre-season friendly this evening.
York City started out the better side and had most of the chances throughout the opening exchanges. The first goal of the game came when a York City trialist scored with a bullet header from a corner midway through the first half.
The Leeds United equaliser came at the very start of the second half. Jack Clarke hit a curling effort from the edge of the area which bounced off the crossbar. It fell to Sam Dolby and he prodded home to make it 1-1. That is how the match finished. How did the fans react to the result?

It can’t get any worse can it? Maybe little more than a training session for some but to those who paid good money to see what they hoped would be a decent Leeds side it was a joke. Unless there is an influx of 4/5 quality players NOW we are in deep shit. Relegation threatens?

How long can you go on saying, ‘surely we’ll sign someone soon’ ‘the club must have something lined up’. We’ve made an absolutely phenomenal appointment. But since it’s been a real disaster. A workman is only as good as his tools. #LUFC
