Leeds United agree fee for forward – big news for fans

According to reliable Sports Journalist Pete O’Rourke, Leeds United have reportedly matched Derby County’s bid for Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon.

Jozefzoon has been on Leeds United’s radar for quite some time now, and with the club fast running out of time, they will need to be quick with a bid and a deal to sort out personal terms, with it being just under three weeks until the transfer window slams shut.

The Dutch winger scored seven goals in 39 games last season for Brentford and would add pace and a goalscoring threat out wide for Leeds United, which Whites fans would welcome after an absence of goals last season, following the departure of striker Chris Wood to Premier League Burnley.

It’s become known that a club have bid for Jozefzoon during this transfer window, so we’ll see whether Leeds United are prepared to put in the effort to sign the forward. He could well be worth making a bid for though as at the age of 27, he’s in his prime and would be an frightening addition to the Whites’ attack.

With Leeds United having a bid accepted for the winger, it’s now down to Jozefzoon as to whether he moves to West-Yorkshire, or to Derbyshire during this transfer window, but now that the club have had a bid accepted for an attacker, fans can now have something to be optimistic about.
