There is a bit of confusion tonight as Bolton wanderers named their under 23 side. In the side they named a player “Zuma”. The story going around earlier today was that a younger brother of a famous player was to line up in the Bolton side. It does seem to be a younger brother of Kurt Zouma, but the club have spelt his name wrong.
Alan Nixon was the first to bring the attention to this situation earlier in the day, although he didn’t name the player or his brother. As the team sheet came out on twitter Nixon confirmed it’s a brother of Kurt Zouma, presumably spelt wrong but not the known brother (of sorts) Lionel Zouma.
The game finished 0-0 and Zuma…or Zouma was mentioned just the once, a block and fans once again began to question if the club are just spelling his name differently. Confusion and Bolton Wanderers go hand in hand at the moment, it hasn’t been a great summer to say the least.
Bolton have just sorted out the situation regarding the players strike and money, and even that news couldn’t be smooth. The club appeared to shift all blame onto the players and the fans weren’t happy at all. The last couple of years have been somewhat of a nightmare for Bolton, but in particular the fans who have seen a disaster unfold in front of their eyes.
It wouldn’t even be a surprise if this turned out not to be the Zouma brother, but who knows. Nixon is normally spot on, the likelihood is that the club have just made another error and spelt his name wrong a couple of times.
