Peterborough United owner drops cheeky hint Leeds United target is on his way

Peterborough United’s Jack Marriott has been at the centre of transfer rumors in the past few days, with there being speculation about his future at the ABAX stadium. Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are amongst clubs who have been mentioned to be a club with a keen interest in the 23-year-old striker.

Leeds United have been linked with a fair number of players this transfer window including Jonathan Kodjia and Jordan Hugill in recent days, have now been linked with Jack Marriot. The League One sensation has reportedly had interest from other clubs including Nottingham Forest, Bristol City and Birmingham City.

Marriott has been said to be worth around £5 million, reports from Bristol Live have mentioned that there has been an offer received from Leeds for the goal scorer, who successfully bagged 33 goals in the season just passed.

The owner of Peterborough, Darragh MacAnthony, had tweeted earlier that there had been four bids for him that day, highlighting the extent of the interest for the in-form striker.
