Klose, Norwich City players robbed during pre-season tour of Germany

Norwich City players robbed during pre-season tour of Germany

Norwich City players had cash robbed from their hotel rooms while they played in a friendly according a social media post from Timm Klose.

When a team goes on a pre-season tour, it is meant to be a week of focusing on training and getting to know your new team mates. It is not meant to be stressful and you are not meant to have any of your things robbed while playing a friendly against a local side.

But that is what happened to Norwich while they were on tour in Germany this week. While they were playing against SC Paderborn, burglars broke into their locked hotel rooms and robbed some of the players of the cash that was in there. Reports picked by the Norwich Evening News has said that there is an international investigation by the hotel currently underway and police in the area are also involved in the investigation.

This news was revealed by Timm Klose on his Instagram story. He posted a picture of himself with team-mate Marco Stiepermann on a coach with text on the image saying “The moment they’ve told you that whilst we were playing they robbed our hotel…”.

The only good news of the day was that Norwich did get the win against Paderborn. Dennis Srbeny got their first goal while Teemu Pukki scored a brace to seal a 3-2 friendly win. But Klose may be thinking more about the money he lost rather than the game won on the trip back to Norwich.
