Hull City remain keen on re-signing Liverpool winger- Blow for Stoke City

Hull City are still keen on loaning Liverpool winger Harry Wilson for next season, Nigel Adkins has confirmed to BBC Radio Humberside.

The 21-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan with Hull and impressed for them. He managed 7 goals in 14 games to help keep Adkins’ side in the Championship after a difficult start to the campaign.

The Tigers have not ruled themselves out of the race to sign him again on loan for next season. However, there is a lot of interest in Wilson from other Championship sides. Stoke City have been linked recently along with the likes of Aston Villa, Swansea City and Middlesbrough.

Hull have been busy recently bolstering their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign. After the worrying departures of first-team stars like Abel Hernandez, Seb Larsson, Michael Dawson etc. early on in the transfer window, Hull were under pressure to bring some players in. They have now so far signed Eric Lichaj from Nottingham Forest, Reece Burke from West Ham United, Jordy de Wijs from PSV and David Milinkovic from Genoa.

Nigel Adkins wants to make some more signings next week and his side have been linked with Sheffield United goalkeeper George Long and Barnsley striker Tom Bradshaw. However, any potential move for Harry Wilson will happen later on in the transfer window.

The Wales international has just signed a new five-year-deal at Liverpool but is still expected to leave on loan again. There is a long queue of clubs wanting to sign him and Hull City are certainly one of them.
