Peterborough United have today confirmed the signing of Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings on a season long loan deal.
Cummings becomes the 13th new arrival through the doors at the ABAX Stadium. The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Scottish Premier League side Rangers, and reports had suggested that Gers boss Steven Gerrard was interested in signing him on a permanent basis.
However, he has joined Peterborough United and will hope to hope Steve Evans’ men achieve promotion from Sky Bet League One next season.
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony tweeted this to confirm the signing, and it is fair to say he was extremely happy.
Welcome to @theposhofficial Jason Cummings on loan from @NFFC until June 31st 2019 on full wages paid by our club. Another important position filled & a young hungry player ready to show he can do business in England with us

The club had intended to not bring any players in on loan…but Cummings is the third player to join the club on a temporary basis.

The one fear for Peterborough United will be that this deal have paved the way for star striker Jack Marriott to leave the club, with Nottingham Forest being heavily linked with the 23-year-old.
