Hull City want more signings- Double transfer swoop plotted?

Hull City boss Nigel Adkins is hopeful of some new signings next week and has made a move for Sheffield United goalkeeper George Long, according to Hull Live.

The Tigers have been busy this week and have brought in three signings. David Milinkovic, Reece Burke and Jordy de Wijs have all joined the club from Genoa, West Ham United and PSV Eindhoven. Adkins now wants to bring in a striker and his side have been linked with a move for Barnsley’s Tom Bradshaw, as reported by The72 yesterday.

Hull have been in the hunt for a back-up goalkeeper for next season and may have found their man in Sheffield United’s George Long. David Marshall is expected to be their number one next season following Allan McGregor’s departure to Rangers, but Long would provide competition to the former Cardiff City shot stopper.

Signing Long could allow one of Will Mannion or Callum Burton to go out on loan for the next campaign. Mannion spent a month on loan at Plymouth Argyle last season, whereas Burton had a brief stint with Salford City.

Tom Bradshaw is another name that has cropped up for Hull. They are looking to sign a striker before the season starts and he would be an impressive signing for them. The Wales international has scored a combined 20 goals in the past two seasons so is proven at Championship level.

It is promising for Hull fans to see their side finally busy in the transfer market and they can look forward to some more signings next week.
