Five things to know about Leeds United target Domingos Quina

Leeds United are in talks with West Ham United over signing Domingos Quina, as reported by The72 earlier today.

Ex-Chelsea and Benfica- The 18-year-old started his career in the Benfica academy. The Portuguese side have produced talents such as Bernando Silva, Andre Gomez and Renato Sanchez in recent years. However, he moved to Chelsea in 2013 before he joined their London rivals West Ham in May 2016.

Represents Portugal- Quina was born in Guinea-Bissau but his allegiance is with Portugal, having moved there as a child. He has played for Portugal at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level so far in his career and is being tipped for a big future in the international set-up.

Under-17 European Championship winner- He was part of the Portugal side who won the Under-17’s European Championships in May 2016 in the tournament hosted by Azerbaijan.

West Ham career- Quina signed his first professional contract with West Ham in November 2016. He then made his in July 2016 in a Europa League tie against NK Domzale and played in the second leg as well which the first game in the London Stadium. He has since made four more appearances for them.

Nearly joined Sheffield United last summer- Quina was a loan target for Championship side Sheffield United last summer but a loan move for him fell through. The Blades were keen to bring him to Bramall Lane on deadline day last August but were not able to complete the deal. It now looks like he will be heading to the Championship one year on, but to their Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.
