Sky Bet Championship duo West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United are both interested in signing Leeds United star Kemar Roofe, according to a reliable sports journalist.
Pete O’Rourke took to twitter earlier this morning to confirm the news, and pile more misery onto Leeds United fans, who are growing increasingly frustrated at their side’s lack of transfer activity.

And right now they are bound to be even unhappier, as two of their second tier rivals have shown a significant interest in a player who was their top goal scorer last season with 14 goals in all competitions.
Football Insider reports that both West Brom and Sheffield United are about to take it up a notch, with both clubs set to make a bid for the 25-year-old versatile attacker.
Kemar Roofe has history with West Bromwich Albion, after coming through the youth set-up there. He was offered his first professional contract at the club in 2011, but failed to make the cut and instead had to settle for loan spells in the lower leagues.
He represented Northampton Town, Cheltenham Town and Colchester United, before finally finding a more permanent home at Oxford United.
He joined the U’s permanently in 2015 after a successful loan spell the season prior. However, he did not remain at the Kassam Stadium for very long. His performances in the 2015/16 season impressed a number of Sky Bet Championship clubs, and after helping earn Oxford United promotion to Sky Bet League One, Roofe was sold to Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.
