Jordan Rhodes to Norwich City is still happening despite reports

Jordan Rhodes on loan to Norwich City is still on and going ahead as planned according to journalist Alan Nixon on twitter. This is despite reports the deal was off

Norwich City are still set to sign Jordan Rhodes on loan from Sheffield Wednesday according to Alan Nixon. When Nixon was told on twitter he said the deal was off, Nixon replied “When did I ever say that?”. This will be music to Norwich fans ears who have been a goal scorer short of a play-off push for a few seasons now.

Ever since Jordan Rhodes left Blackburn for Middlesbrough his career has gone down hill and come to a complete halt. Although he helped Boro to promotion back in 2015/16 his contribution was very little and the next season it was even less.

He then moved to Sheffield Wednesday but his time there wasn’t any better. Since joining he’s missed out on promotion to the Premier League following a play-off semi final defeat to Huddersfield Town and has failed to ever secure himself a starting place within the starting XI.

A move away from Sheffield Wednesday will hopefully get this very talented players career back on track. During his time at Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers he was one of the most clinical strikers in the world. He scored 42 goals in one season for Huddersfield Town, this includes a massive five hat-tricks. There’s no doubt this man has talent but he just needs to find that club that sparks his career back into life again. Could Norwich be that club?
