Sheffield United hopeful of transfer deals- Three potential signings….

Sheffield United are hoping to get busy in the transfer market and bolster their squad ahead of next season. Here are three potential targets that they could pursue over the coming week-

Jon Walters, Burnley- The Blades have recently been linked with a move for the experienced front-man, as reported by The72 earlier today. Sheffield United are in the hunt for a new striker after Clayton Donaldson was released at the end of last season and loanee James Wilson went back to his parent club Manchester United. Walters, who has bags of experience in the Football League, would be a cracking signing for the Yorkshire side as he would offer them another option in attack.

Scott Hogan, Aston Villa- The 27-year-old striker has been linked with a loan move to Bramall Lane over the past couple of days. He made the switch to Aston Villa in January 2017 after impressing at Brentford but has struggled to hit the ground running with the Midlands side. Hogan is a proven goal scorer at this level and would be ideal for Sheffield United. He would flourish under Chris Wilder’s guidance and would fit in well into the Blades’ side.

Sam Gallagher, Southampton- The Saints’ striker has been heavily linked with the Blades and this is a deal that they want to get done. He has spent time away from St Mary’s at MK Dons, Blackburn Rovers and most recently Birmingham City and has shown that he is a handful in the Championship. Gallagher would be a shrewd loan signing for Sheffield United and would give them a plan B next season.
