Earlier today, Leeds United confirmed that Andy Lonergan had left the club by mutual consent, less than a year after he re-signed for the Yorkshire club.
The goalkeeper joined the club in August 2017, but he only managed to make nine appearances for the Whites in the 2017/18 campaign.
Speaking to the club’s official website about his departure, Lonergan said: “I really enjoyed being back at Leeds United again and I’d like to thank all of the staff and players I’ve worked with every day.
“The biggest thank you must go to the supporters though and I wish the club the best of luck for next season.”
Leeds United fans were quick to take to Twitter after it was confirmed that Lonergan had left the club.
Here is a look at what a select few of them had to say:
This supporter is slightly worried that Bailey Peacock-Farrell is currently the only goalkeeper at the club.
