Promising young talent Ryan Yates has put pen to paper on a new contract with Nottingham Forest, confirmed by the club website.

Ryan Yates has committed his long-term future to Nottingham Forest, and has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest.

The 20-year-old is an academy graduate and has enjoyed successful loan spells with Notts County and Scunthorpe United last season. This hard work has been rewarded with a new three-year deal.

But Nottingham Forest are looking to send him out on loan to continue his development away from the City Ground.

It is believed that there is a host of clubs battling to get the signature of Ryan Yates but who will secure his signature?

About Ryan Yates –

The midfielder joined National League side Barrow for the first-half of the season 2016/17 and played a major role in helping them to the FA Cup third round, before he teamed up with Shrewsbury Town in League One at the end of 2016/17 campaign.

He impressed during his loan at Shrewsbury Town and was a massive part of the side which avoided relegation from League One.

He enhanced his reputation even more during loan spells at Notts County and Scunthorpe United during the season just gone.

The midfielder managed to make 29 appearances in all competitions for Nottingham Forest rivals Notts County. He scored six goals, but he was recalled in order to allow him to gain experience in League One, with Scunthorpe, and he made 16 appearances and two sub appearances, scoring two goals
