Hull City hopeful of deals before Sunday- Three potential signings…

Hull City boss Nigel Adkins is hoping to sign a few more players before they head off to Portugal on Sunday for pre-season, according to his personal Twitter account. Here are three potential signings for the Tigers-

Nedum Onuoha- Hull have offered him a contract and the experienced defender is believed to be weighing up his options. Onuoha left Championship side QPR at the end of the season and is a signing that Nigel Adkins wants to get over the line. The Tigers are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and bringing Onuoha in on a free transfer would be a shrewd bit of business. The 31-year-old has previously played for Manchester City, Sunderland and QPR. It is now just a waiting game to receive his response.

Conor Townsend, Scunthorpe United- The 25-year-old left-back is on Adkins’ radar and this is a deal Hull could get done before Sunday. Townsend is a product of the Tigers’ academy and rose through the youth ranks there. However, after various loan spells away at the likes of Grimsby Town, Chesterfield and Dundee United, Townsend left on a permanent deal to join Scunthorpe in January 2016. He could now be set for a return to the KCOM Stadium this summer as Hull look to add more depth to their threadbare squad.

Jordy de Wijs, PSV- He is another defender who has been linked with the Tigers over the past 24 hours and is a potential signing. The 23-year-old is set to leave PSV this summer and could pursue a career in the English leagues. de Wijs spent last season on loan at Eredivisie side Excelsior and impressed for them in the Dutch top flight. He rarely played for PSV’s first-team but was a regular for their reserve team Jong PSV, who play their football in the Dutch second tier.
