Opinion: Peter Crouch would suit a move to Leeds United or Nottingham Forest

Both Leeds United and Nottingham Forest have been well-linked with a number of strikers during this transfer window and it’s thought that both clubs are starting to get closer to bringing in the forward players they want during this transfer window.

Following Stoke City’s relegation to the Championship, the club have looked to get a number of players off the clubs wage bill given the fact that they have been paying large amounts out to their players in the Premier League over the last few years and Nottingham Forest or Leeds United would ideal destinations for striker Peter Crouch to move to during this window.

Striker Peter Crouch has come forward and said to the Mirror that he has no issue playing in the Championship this season and although the striker suggested he has “unfinished business” with the Potters, a move to Leeds or Nottingham Forest would be a great chance for the striker to play a pivotal part in helping one of two of the biggest teams in the division to make a return to the top-flight after a long absence from the Premier League.

Crouch will no doubt be looking to enjoy next season with whichever club he chooses to feature for and with the striker showing he still has goals in him and that his experience is incredibly valuable, a move to either Leeds United or Nottingham Forest would give the striker a chance to play a pivotal part in a team that needs somebody with experience and knowhow leading a forward line in the second-tier of English football.

We’ll see if Crouch is prepared to leave Stoke City, but these two clubs certainly have the spending power to bring the forward to each side.
