Birmingham City dramatically swoop in for Nottingham Forest and Leeds United target

Birmingham City have swooped in to try and sign Nottingham Forest and Leeds United target Lewis Grabban from AFC Bournemouth, according to Nottingham Post.

It is believed that Birmingham City are trying to swoop in for a late deal to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

Nottingham Forest and Leeds United have been keeping close tabs on the experienced striker but it seems Birmingham City have now entered the race.

Last season, Grabban was on loan at Sunderland before moving on loan to Aston Villa. He managed to make 34 appearances and impressively scored 20 times.

The striker played a key role in the Bournemouth’s promotion to the Championship, scoring 35 goals during a two year spell before resigning for the Cherries in January 2016 but isn’t needed at the Cherries anymore, with Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and now Birmingham City keeping close tabs on the striker.

But where will Lewis Grabban be playing his football next season?

About Lewis Grabban –

Lewis Grabban came through the youth academy at Crystal Palace and made 10 senior appearances for the club from 2005-2008.

He then signed for Millwall, scoring nine goals in 58 appearances before moving on to Brentford and then moved to Rotherham, where he scored 18 goals in 43 games.

After his first spell at Bournemouth, the forward opted to join Norwich City in June 2014, where he scored 13 goals in his two-year spell, with 12 of those crucial to help the Canaries gain promotion back to the Premier League.

Grabban made 16 appearances for Bournemouth in the 2015/16 season.

The striker then went out on loan to Reading where he made 19 appearances, scoring three goals as he was hugely influential in the Royals reaching the Championship play off final, but they were defeated by Huddersfield Town at Wembley.
