Reading have confirmed that midfielder Jem Karacan will be the new club captain for the 2014/15 season.
Karacan has played more than 150 times for Reading, and apart from loan moves, has spent his whole senior career with the Royals.
Manager Nigel Adkins told the Basingstoke Gazette:
“He has come through the system and has demonstrated he has the ability to be a leader.”
