Mansfield Town make triple swoop including Nottingham Forest striker and Ninja Warrior star

Mansfield Town have signed Tyler Walker on loan from Nottingham Forest, Otis Khan from Yeovil Town and Craig Davies from Oldham Athletic on free transfers as confirmed by the club website.

The Stags are looking to push themselves up the Sky Bet League Two table and have completed an impressive triple swoop to help them in that aim. One of the deals has seen a talented youngster head to the OneCall Stadium on loan and they have been able to get two other players on permanent deals ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The first player to arrive is Tyler Walker, famously the son of England international Des. He is a very promising striker who just hasn’t made the breakthrough at Forest yet and so needs another loan spell to get more experience. The second player to play is sign who has played for the likes of Sheffield United, Barnsley and Yeovil but also attracted headlines for performing on the ITV show Ninja Warrior. The final player signing today is Davies, someone who has proved himself to a proven goalscorer at this level.

Following these signings, Mansfield head coach David Flitcroft said: “There’s been a lot of hard miles and real hard graft put into these deals and I’m delighted for everyone at the club and thank the chairman and Carolyn for their support in making these signings happen.”

“I’ve not been deterred from my vision of what the team will look like and what it will represent to our supporters and I’m absolutely delighted with the signings, especially before the Portugal training camp next week.”

“It was key that we got the players in this week to settle in with the group so next week in Portugal we can lay down our battle plans.”
