Former Bury and Bradford left-back Greg Leigh has signed for Dutch side NAC Breda on a three-year-deal, confirmed by the club website.
NAC Breda has reached an agreement with former Bury and Bradford left-back Greg Leigh. The 23-year-old defender put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Dutch side. The new acquisition is signing for three seasons in Breda.
The 23-year-old Leigh can not wait for his new adventure to start in Breda: “From the moment I got to know the club, I immediately felt at home. I was warmly welcomed in Breda and immediately decided to seize the opportunity to play here. It is a nice challenge for me. I come from a physical competition and see the Eredivisie as an opportunity to develop myself in the technical field. I can not wait to get started and get the best out of myself for NAC. ”

About Greg Leigh –
23-year-old Greg Leigh was snapped up by the Manchester City academy system in 2004 after being spotted playing for Manchester amateur side Sale United. Progress with City eventually saw him join Crewe Alexandra on a three-month loan period during the 2014-15 season.
His impact for the Railwaymen was such that his loan deal was extended to a full season loan and he went onto make 42 appearances at Gresty Road.
However, at the end of that season, he returned to the Etihad Stadium, only to find himself released and without a club. Despite an offer from Crewe Alexandra, Greg went to Bradford City, initially on a trial basis, but impressed enough to be offered a 12-month deal.
Greg was offered a new deal at the end of the 2015-16 season but then ex-Shakers manager David Flitcroft pounced and offered a deal which was quickly accepted and signed allowing him to move to Gigg Lane.
The 23-year-old left-back made 100 appearances for the Shakers since moving to Gigg Lane from Bradford City in July 2016.
