Forest season ticket sales continue to rise ahead of new campaign

Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest have confirmed that they have now sold over 18,500 season tickets for the 2018/2019 campaign according to The Reds’ official website.

Forest had sold more season tickets by the end of April than the figure sold at the start of last season and those sales have continued to rise at a steady rate throughout the summer.

It is now thought that the current sales total is approaching the 19,000 mark, a figure which is believed to have exceeded the final number of season ticket holders for the 2017/2018 campaign.

Forest recorded an improved 17th-place finish in the Sky Bet Championship last season and hopes are high amongst The Reds supporters that the club’s on-field performances will improve again in the upcoming campaign in what will be new manager Aitor Karanka’s first full season in charge at The City Ground.

In his first full season at former club Middlesbrough, Karanka guided his side to a fourth place finish in the second tier before they were defeated by Norwich City in the Play-Off final at Wembley. The following season, Boro went one step further by gaining automatic promotion back to the English Premier League after a seven-year absence.

Karanka has won just five of his 21 matches in charge of current club Nottingham Forest to date but while his record is far from perfect, the Spaniard has the contacts to put together a squad capable of winning promotion.
