Earlier today, the Daily Mail reported that Leeds United have bid £12 million for Derby County’s Matej Vydra and fan excitement has hit the roof with news that the club could be set to complete their most expensive transfer signing since 2001.
The striker netted 22 times for the Whites last season and has long been linked with a move to Leeds United during this transfer window. The West-Yorkshire club have been keen to bring the striker to Elland Road and it’s been rumoured that Vydra has been Marcelo Bielsa’s number one transfer target during this window so far.
It remains to be seen as to whether Derby County will accept the bid they’ve received from Leeds for the striker however, fans have already begun to get excited about the idea of Vydra leading Leeds’ strikeforce for this upcoming season.

Vydra has the technical ability of a prem player just like Abel does. Never got a consistent shot at the prem though. He’s worth around the mark they want as he’s in the top 5 champ players easily. If we’re going for promotion we’ve got to go for these players.
