Bristol City defender is set to sign for Middlesbrough

Championship side Middlesbrough look set to land Bristol City defender Aden Flint, according to Bristol Post.

Bristol City are reluctant to lose key man Aden Flint this summer but the club have always claimed that every player of Bristol City has a price.

It was only in March 2018, Flint signed a new long-term deal, tying him down to the club till 2021.

But he now looks set for a move to the Riverside Stadium in the second summer departure at Ashton Gate and is set to join Tony Pulis at Middlesbrough.

The fee is believed to be around £5million, which is a brilliant piece off Middlesbrough and Tony Pulis.

About Aden Flint –

In 2010/11 season Flint got his first international call-up when Paul Fairclough named him within his 16-man England C squad for the friendly with Wales national semi-professional football team. He played the first 45 minutes in the 2–2 draw at Latham Park in Wales.

Flint was capped for a second and final time in October 2010 when he played the entire 90 minutes of England C’s 1–0 away win at the Kadriorg Stadium, Tallinn against an Estonia U-23’s in the International Challenge Trophy.

Since signing from local rivals Swindon Town in 2013, Aden Flint has become a popular figure amongst the Bristol City fanbase.

The towering centre-back scored 15 goals, including a hat-trick on the final day of the season against Walsall, in the club’s double-winning year. Flint was named in the PFA League One Team of the Year in 2014/15 and picked up City’s Player of the Year award two seasons running.

He continued his sterling performances in the Sky Bet Championship.

He signed a new contract in the summer of 2015 tying him to the club until 2019.
