Former FC Barcelona boss is keen to help new Leeds United manager

Former FC Barcelona boss and current Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants to help Leeds United manager Marcelo Biesla, according to The Sun.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is ready to help new Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa. Guardiola has said that Marcelo Bielsa has had a huge influence on his career and hailed his arrival in England.

About Marcelo Bielsa –

Bielsa is a vastly experienced coach and has previously enjoyed success as head coach of the Argentina and Chile national teams, as well as at club level with Newell’s Old Boys, Athletic Bilbao and Marseille.

The 62-year-old has an impressive CV, he has won top flight league titles in Argentina with Newell’s Old Boys and Vélez Sársfield, whilst also guided Bilbao to the UEFA Europa League final and the Copa del Rey final, during his time in charge of the Spanish club.

Leeds transfer targets and how will Guardiola help? –

Leeds United are looking at Birmingham City goalkeeper David Stockdale and Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who is a confident youngster with a bright future in the game could be sent to Leeds as Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola looks to help Bielsa out.

Last season, Angus Gunn was on loan to Championship side Norwich City. He managed to make 51 appearances in all competitions and kept 16 clean sheets.

Stockdale managed to keep six Championship clean sheets in 34 appearances last season and has two years remaining on his contract.

With Leeds appointing Marcelo Biesla, maybe Leeds will target Stockdale as Biesla’s first signing. He’s a proven Championship keeper and could be a steady pair of hands following Leeds having a disappointing campaign with goalkeepers.

Also, according to The Sun, Tosin Adarabioyo , Brahim Diaz and Lukas Nmecha are other names on his list of targets in the Manchester City youth academy.
