Five players that Aston Villa should sign this summer

Here are five players that Aston Villa should sign this summer –

Leo Bonatini, Al-Hilal – It would be no surprise that Aston Villa are interested in the striker as the Brazilian sensation Leo Bonatini was offered to Villa last summer in the transfer window, but the club couldn’t afford him. Bonatini won the Championship title last season with Wolves, where he made 43 league appearances and scored 12 goals whilst making six assists.

Jack Marriott, Peterborough United – The Peterborough frontman deserves a chance to prove himself in the Championship following his outstanding season for The Posh. Last season, Marriott made 44 league appearances for Peterborough and impressively scoring 27 goals. But it would be an expensive move from Aston Villa. It looks likely that Marriott will have plenty of options from multiple championship clubs who tried to sign him in January, he is certainly one to keep your eye out for.

Kean Bryan, Manchester City – Kean Bryan, who is aged 21, was named Young Player of the Year by Oldham Athletic after impressing hugely despite the club’s eventual relegation to League Two. He started as a box-to-box midfielder but transformed into a centre back, the youngster likes to use his strength in possession, vision and passing ability to influence the game from the centre of the park.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chelsea – During the recent FIFA Under-17 World Cup, Hudson-Odoi scored England’s first goal of the tournament against Chile, and was an integral part in their eventual triumph, playing in every game. The young midfielder particularly starred in the final, assisting three goals to help England come from two goals down to beat Spain 5-2. Known for going on mazy runs through midfield, the 17-year-old has a high ceiling and at such a young age, has plenty of time to make the breakthrough into senior football.

Marcus Maddison, Peterborough United –  The Peterborough United star deserves a chance in the Championship and has been linked with a move many times. The winger has made 148 appearances for The Posh scoring 35 goals. Maddison, who has the most assists in League One, has been a pain to League One defence for a number of years but will he get the chance to shine in the Championship for Aston Villa?
