Wigan are trying to sign Norwich winger and Sunderland winger

Wigan are closing in on signing Norwich winger Yanic Wildschut and Sunderland winger Callum McManaman, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Paul Cook wants to bring Yanic Wildschut and Callum McManaman back to Wigan, although they are both on big contracts they are available at the right price.

Alan Nixon tweeted “WIGAN. Looking into loan deals for old boys Wildschut at Norwich and McManaman at Sunderland. Both on big contracts but both deffo available at right deal.

If Wigan pull both deals off they will have certainly done a great piece of business to bring two former fans favourites back to the club.

About Callum McManaman –  The winger joined Sunderland on a two-year deal until June 2019. The exciting winger burst onto the scene at Wigan, making more than 100 senior appearances. He also picked up an FA Cup winners’ medal with Wigan, he was named man of the match in a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the final.

About Yanic Wildschut – Wildschut represented a number of youth sides before signing for Ajax’s Academy setup. In 2013 the winger joined Heerenveen, ahead of moving to ADO Den Haag on a loan deal the following January.The winger moved to England at the start of 2014, agreeing terms with Middlesbrough for who he scored twice in 11 league appearances. He impressed during a loan spell at Wigan in 2015, Wildschut completed a permanent move to the club in January 2016. His performances played a key role in Wigan’s promotion to the Championship where he won the Sky Bet League One title with Wigan. Wildschut scored four times in 25 league matches before moving to Norwich.
