Here is three potential top transfer signings from Leeds United this summer –
Matej Vydra, Derby County – Vydra’s capture would be a massive coup signing for Leeds, he has proven that he is a striker more than capable of hitting the back of the net in the Championship. Last campaign, he made 40 appearances for Derby County, and Vydra impressively scored 21 goals and notched four assists. But he will come at a cost as Derby County paid £8.5 million and are believed to want at least £10 million plus.
David Stockdale, Birmingham City – Birmingham will allow a move for Stockdale to depart the club ahead of next season providing their valuation is met as boss Garry Monk looks to push through an overhaul of the goalkeeping department. Stockdale managed to keep six Championship clean sheets in 34 appearances last season and has two years remaining on his contract. With Leeds appointing Marcelo Biesla, maybe Leeds will target Stockdale as Biesla’s first signing. He’s a proven Championship keeper and could be a steady pair of hands following Leeds having a disappointing campaign with goalkeepers.
Abel Hernandez, free agent – Abel Hernandez would be a great signing for Leeds. He’s scored 28 goals in 49 league appearances for Hull City but has decided to leave the Tigers. Hernandez has made 27 appearances for the Uruguay national side since 2010, scoring 11 goals, but has been left out of Oscar Tabarez’s squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia this summer.
