Big twist – Rumours Leeds United will sign player are “wide of the mark”

According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, rumours that have linked Leeds United with Huddersfield Town’s winger Rajiv Van La Parra are reportedly “wide of the mark”.

This will come much to the relief of Leeds United fans who seem to be unhappy that the club have been linked with the Dutch winger as Leeds fans seem relatively unkeen on the idea of bringing the player to Elland Road for the upcoming season.

The Dutch winger may find himself surplus to requirements during his second season in the Premier League with Huddersfield Town with the club expected to bring in reinforcements to ensure they aren’t embroiled in a relegation battle at the end of this forthcoming season. This was what people expected to pave the midfielder a move to Elland Road for a fee of £3.6 million, however, O’Rourke’s tweet suggests that this isn’t going to happen and that Huddersfield will be holding onto the winger.

Leeds United fans are expecting some transfers to go through in the coming days – and with the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa, the club are hoping for some exciting attacking signings to fit ‘El Loco’s’ footballing style.

Bielsa is thought to be arriving in England today, ready to lead his first training session, and press conference during the upcoming week, Leeds United fans will be hoping to see more of their new manager and more signings.
