Jarrod Bowen was Hull City’s star man last season as he impressed for the Tigers, despite a disappointing league campaign. Rumours have surfaced linking the ex Hereford man with a move to Everton, and Hull fans are not happy.
Bowen made 7 appearances for the Tigers during their Premier League season during the 2016/17 campaign.
He scored his first goal for the club on the first day of last season in a 1-1 draw with Playoff finalists Aston Villa.
He carried on his goalscoring form throughout the season, as he netted on 15 occasions, as well as registering 2 assists.
Now, it is understood that Bowen is on Marco Silva’s wanted list at Everton, as the new Toffees boss looks to rebuild at Goodison Park this summer.
Silva worked with Bowen during his brief time at Hull, where he helped turn the Tigers form around, but was unable to save them from relegation.
Hull will not want to lose their star man, but a £12m fee may be to good to turn down as the club look to balance the books at the KC Stadium.
The 21 year old has the potential to play at the top flight, and his potential may be realised this summer by the Merseyside club.
Everton have a reputation of bringing youth through to play in the first team, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Tom Davies, and Seamus Coleman all making a name for themself at the Blues.
Bowen is a firm fan favourite at Hull City, and the Tigers faithful will be less than impressed if the club sell him this transfer window.
Here are some of the views from the Hull City faithful:
If Bowen is going, good luck to him. However I’m not going to grumble over the fee as Adkins won’t get a penny of it to spend. #hcafc

£12m is not enough for Bowen #HCAFC

Is Bowen going? Another one you can’t blame at all. Fans debating about the price, it doesn’t really matter because not a penny of it will go into the transfer budget. #hcafc

So reading on social media tonight that there is a high probability that Bowen is the next out the door. It’s hardly surprising and if he does I wish the lad all the best and thanks for his efforts. Just FYI the transfer window is actually open @HullCity 5-A-Side anyone? #hcafc
