Boaz Myhill has been released by West Bromwich Albion and is wanted by Hull City fans.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper played over 250 games for the Tigers in his seven year stint at the club and is regarded as a club legend at the KCOM Stadium.
Myhill, who has made 19 caps for Wales, joined Hull in 2003 from Aston Villa when they were in Division Three (now League Two). He had previously had loan stints at Bristol City, Stoke City, Bradford City, Macclesfield Town and Stockport County.
He helped the Tigers gain back-to-back promotions to the Championship in his first two seasons at the club. Myhill was then part of Hull’s famous first ever promotion to the Premier League in 2008.
The American-born goalkeeper then left East Yorkshire in 2010 for around £1.5 million after Hull were relegated back to the second tier. He had a loan spell at Birmingham City in his second season at the Hawthorns but all together racked up 82 games for the Baggies.
Myhill is now available on a free transfer and Hull fans are dreaming of his return to the KCOM Stadium. Fraizer Campbell, who was part of the 2008 promotion squad as well, re-joined them last summer so is it now the time for Myhill to come back?
Here is how the Hull fans reacted on Twitter to Myhill’s being released by West Brom-
@TheNigelAdkins Nigel, Boaz Myhill left West Brom today as his contact had expired, do the right thing and bring him back to the KCOM please
