West Brom want international goalkeeper- Swansea City & Bristol City also keen

West Bromwich Albion are weighing up a move for Red Star Belgrade goalkeeper Milan Borjan, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 30-year-old shot stopper is a man in demand at the moment and is also on the radar of Championship sides Swansea City and Bristol City.

West Brom are in the hunt for a new goalkeeper to provide competition and back-up to their current number one, Ben Foster. Darren Moore is looking to mount a promotion push next season as he look to get the Baggies to the Premier League.

Swansea City will battle with Moore’s side to land Borjan. They lost their first choice ‘keeper Lukasz Fabianski to Premier League side West Ham United for £7 million yesterday and are looking to sign a replacement for him.

Bristol City are the final club to be linked. The Robins missed out on Manchester United’s Dean Henderson, who was a key target for them but moved to their fellow Championship side Sheffield United instead. They may have now turned their attentions to Borjan.

Borjan is an experienced goalkeeper in Europe and has racked up 211 career appearances, as well as making 38 caps for Canada. He has so far played for the likes of Rad, Sivasspor, Ludogorets and currently plays for Red Star. The 6ft 5inc man has won the Bulgarian top flight twice and the Serbian Super Liga once.

He could be on his way to the Championship so this is a story to keep an eye on.
