Cellino double deal to take Leeds duo to Italy?

Marcus Antonsson is close to joining Brescia in Italy ahead of pre-season with Massimo Cellino now trying to make it a double deal. News has been revealed by the YEP this morning that Tyler Denton could also be joining Cellino in Italy.

Tyler Denton, a 22-year-old left-back who is highly rated by Leeds has found himself behind youngster Tom Pearce heading into another pre-season that looks like he won’t feature much in. With Marcelo Bielsa having already decided who is part of his plans and who isn’t it seems like Denton may need to look elsewhere for first-team football again. Denton joined Port Vale for a loan spell last season but returned to Leeds due to family issues.

Denton is now wanted by Massimo Cellino on a season-long loan with the option of a permanent move next summer. Cellino was in control of Leeds when Denton signed his first professional deal and it seems he rated the youngster. Ian Harte, former Leeds player and favourite is then players agent and may well see this as a chance for first-team exposure. Denton was expected to make the first-team at Leeds at some stage.

Meanwhile Swedish striker Marcus Antonsson is set to join Brescia with the YEP reporting a deal as close. Massimo Cellino signed the player whilst in charge of Leeds, paying around £1.8 million for the striker. It’s fair to say that the move didn’t work out for the striker although he you off to a good start. He spent last season on loan at Blackburn, helping the side to promotion before returning to Leeds at the end of the season. It had been expected that Antonsson was to stay in England after making noises that it was his preferred choice. He currently has one year left on his current deal at Leeds United.
