Ex-Hull City defender Harry Maguire starred in England’s 2-1 win over Tunisia in their first game of the World Cup.
The 25-year-old set up Harry Kane for a last gasp winner to give the Three Lions a great start to the tournament.
Maguire left Hull last summer for £17 million to join Leicester City and has since forced his way into the England fold and it has been some rise for the big defender.
He joined the Tigers in 2015 for just £2.5 million from Sheffield United, of whom he started his career at. He initially struggled to get into the Hull team and was loaned out to Wigan Athletic during his first season at the KCOM Stadium.
Maguire then played 33 games for Hull in the 2015/16 campaign as they were promoted back to the Premier League under Steve Bruce. He really found his feet under Marco Silva for the Tigers in the latter half of the 2016/17 season and caught the eye despite them slipping back into the second tier.
Here is how the Hull City fans reacted on Twitter to their former player, Harry Maguire, impressing on the World stage for England against Tunisia last night in their opening game of the tournament-
