PSG are interested in signing Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore, according to the Yorkshire Post.
The Ligue 1 Champions are looking to trigger his reported £18 million release clause and bring him to France this summer.
Championship side Middlesbrough were bracing themselves for interest in the promising youngster after he had an impressive season for them in the last campaign. There is no doubt that he is an incredible talent and despite questions over his end product, he has become a huge player for Boro.
The 22-year-old started his career at Barcelona and was a key player for their B team as a youngster before he went onto play 4 games for their senior side. Traore left Spain in August 2015 to join Aston Villa for £7 million. However, he played just 11 times for them that season as they were relegated to the Championship.
Traore was offered a Premier League lifeline by Middlesbrough in the summer of 2016. Although Boro were relegated in their first campaign back in the top flight, Traore was given more chances and was a first-team regular for them.
A move to PSG could be on the horizon for Traore and this would raise a few eyebrows. The French side already have the likes of Neymar and Edison Cavani as their attacking option and it would take something special for Traore to compete for places with them.
He would be more of a long-term investment and it would be shame for Middlesbrough fans as Traore has become a hit at the Riverside recently.
