West Brom eyeing move for Holland international winger

West Brom are still keen on a move for Beşiktaş winger Jeremain Lens, according to the Turkish news outlet Takvim.

The Baggies are eager to bolster their squad ahead of next season in the Championship as they look to mount a promotion push back to the Premier League.

Their manager, Darren Moore, has drawn up a list of potential targets and has focused on bringing in some more attacking options to boost his sides’ offensive prowess. Former Sunderland winger Jeremain Lens is a target for the 44-year-old boss.

Lens only joined Beşiktaş only a permanent basis on 7th June but could be set to leave them this summer already. He spent last season on loan with the Turkish giants from Sunderland and played 32 games for them in all competitions, scoring 4 goals.

He moved to England in 2015 to join Sunderland and spent a season with them in the Premier League before he was loaned out to Fenerbahçe for the 2016/17 campaign. Lens was then shipped out on loan to Beşiktaş following Sunderland’s relegation to the Championship in 2017.

Prior to joining Sunderland, Lens had played for AZ, NEC Nijmegen, PSV and Dynamo Kyiv. He has also made 34 caps for Holland so far in his career.

He has never played in the Championship before but is a decent option for West Brom. The English game has still not seen the best of Jeremain Lens as his time at Sunderland was short-lived but moving to the Baggies would provide him with an opportunity to impress.
