Opinion: Five players Michael Collins should sign for Bradford City

Michael Collins has been appointed manager of League One side Bradford City. Here are five players the 32-year-old boss should sign for the Bantams-

Mohamed Eisa, Cheltenham Town- He burst onto the scene in League Two last season by scoring 23 league goals. The 23-year-old striker deserves a move up the football pyramid and would be ideal for Bradford City. Collins should go all out to bring him to Valley Parade this summer.

Paddy Madden, Fleetwood Town- Collins played with Madden at Scunthorpe United and should reunite with his former teammate. The 28-year-old is a proven goal scorer at League One level and could fire the goals to take Bradford back to the Championship.

Luke Waterfall, Lincoln City- Like Madden, Collins played with Waterfall at Scunthorpe and should sign him for Bradford. The centre-back has been a huge player for Lincoln over the past two seasons and would be ideal for the Bantams. He has scored a combined 13 goals in his two seasons with the Imps from defence.

Josh Ruffels, Oxford United- He was a teammate of Collins’ at Oxford United and is another who would be a great signing for him. Ruffels, who is 24 years-old, has played over 150 games for Oxford so far in his career. Signing Ruffels would be a statement of intent by Bradford as he is a talented midfielder at this level.

Clayton Donaldson- The experienced striker is looking for a club at the moment after being released by Sheffield United at the end of the season. The 34-year-old has played for the likes of Brentford, Crewe Alexandra and Birmingham City in the past and is an option for Bradford.
