Leeds United could be set to lose goalkeeper

The Birmingham Mail have reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in lining up a bid of around £4 million for Leeds United goalkeeper and Northern Irish international, Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

The now Premier League club are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper for next season and although Portuguese international Rui Patricio is thought to be the frontrunner for the new position between the sticks at Molineux, the Black Country club are supposedly interested in bringing Peacock-Farrell to Molineux as part of a ‘long-term’ project. The goalkeeper burst into Leeds United’s starting XI last season after Felix Wiedwald struggled for form at Elland Road, following his move from the Bundesliga.

Peacock-Farrell recently made his International debut for Northern Ireland and will be hoping to get a regular spot between the sticks and have the opportunity to compete in international tournaments. If Peacock-Farrell can engineer a move to the Premier League and make a regular name for himself between the sticks in the top-flight, he can progress his career and improve his ability to become one of the best young talents in the division.

Leeds United will more than likely want to keep hold of the young-goalkeeper for the upcoming season and increase his value for the future when they can bring in a suitable replacement, especially as they are wanting to make a strong statement under Marcelo Bielsa for this upcoming season.

To lose Peacock-Farrell so early in the transfer window could be a real dampener to the spirits of Leeds United fans, so the West-Yorkshire club will be wanting to keep hold of him over the coming weeks.
