Five players that Bradford should sign this summer

Here are five players that Bradford should sign this summer to strengthen their squad as they look to push for promotion next season –

Eoin Doyle, Preston North End – Doyle is a proven goalscorer in League One, as he showed last season with Oldham Athletic where he scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions. To add to this, the Irishman scored 25 goals in 33 appearances for Chesterfield during the 2014/15 season. With him not being needed at Preston North End this may lead Bradford to swoop in for a deal and create a strong partnership with Charlie Wyke.

Matt Mills, Barnsley – Mills is 6ft 3’ central defender, who has a huge amount of footballing knowledge on his CV having played multiple times in the Premier League as well as the Sky Bet Championship. Mills has racked up over 400 senior appearances in professional football, who could bring a vast amount of experience to Bradford’s defensive areas. His contact expires at the end of the season and isn’t needed at Barnsley.

Connor Ripley, Middlesborough – Ripley spent 2016/17 season on loan at Oldham Athletic, equalling a Latics’ record of 18 clean sheets, collected 3 awards at their End of Season Awards evening and was named in the League One Team of the Year. But last season, he moved to Burton Albion but his move was cut short as he wasn’t 1st choice at the Brewers. He joint Bury on loan to the end of the season. With Ripley not being needed at Middlesborough surely Bradford will make a move for the shot stopper?
