Here are five players that Aitor Karanka should sign at Nottingham Forest this summer –
Jack Marriott, Peterborough United – The Peterborough frontman deserves a chance to prove himself in the Championship following his outstanding season for The Posh. Last season, Marriott made 44 league appearances for Peterborough and impressively scoring 27 goals. But it would be an expensive move from Nottingham Forest. It looks likely that Marriott will have plenty of options from multiple championship clubs who tried to sign him in January, he is certainly one to keep your eye out for.
Jon Nolan, Shrewsbury Town – The midfielder has made 43 appearances for Shrewsbury this season and has managed to notch nine goals from midfield. A host of Championship clubs have expressed their interest in signing Nolan, so Nottingham Forest will have competition if they wish to sign the midfielder. With Shrewsbury failing to earn promotion to the Championship this might be the time for Nolan to move on.
Dean Henderson, Manchester United – The young Manchester United youngster has certainly caught the eye in his massive success at Shrewsbury Town last season. The 21-year-old shot-stopper has been regarded by many as the best goalkeeper in League One last season. Henderson’s quality hasn’t gone unnoticed either. A vast array of clubs have hinted at acquiring the young goalkeeper, who deserves a chance to prove himself at Championship level, he would be a perfect fit for Nottingham Forest, who may need to loan Henderson as he looks to sign a new deal at Manchester United.
